Program Outcomes - Parents & Caregivers
At the end of the Catholic Parenting Initiative, we hope that parents and caregivers who have engaged with our resources will be able to do the following:
- Foster and sustain authentic Christ-centered friendships and community
- Habituate a rhythm of routine religious practices, rituals, and traditions in the home
- Deepen a relationship with God through prayer
- Demonstrate a deeper understanding of the kerygma
- Cultivate a sacramental worldview & Catholic imagination
- Feel confident and competent in faith transmission
- Engage in regular conversations about the Catholic faith as a family
- Be open to the Holy Spirit through regular engagement with reflection and discernment
- Evangelize through proclaiming the Gospel, exercising hospitality, practicing accompaniment, and witness sharing
Program Outcomes - Parishes
At the end of the Catholic Parenting Initiative, we hope parishes who have engaged with our resources will be able to do the following:
- Encourage growing engagement across the lifespan
- Commit to regularly listening to and conversing with parents and caregivers
- Intentionally accompany parents and caregivers in faith transmission
- Create a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere
- Offer formational experiences that lead to a deeper sense of belonging and encounters with Jesus
- Cultivate regular practices of reflection and discernment
- Prioritize catechist formation
- Connect parents with one another to help them build strong Catholic communities
