Let us pray: Passionate patrons, saintly friends, who by your love of Christ bore Him into the world, pray for us that we may follow your example. Teach us, by your holy witness, to become vessels for Christ, so that he might dwell in our hearts as He dwells in yours, and so that He might work through us to draw more souls to Himself. We implore you, through your intercession, that you might lay our prayers and petitions at Jesus’ feet, so that He might graciously hear us:

We pray for our priests, who uniquely show us the heart of the Father, that they are continually sustained in their ministry.

We pray for an increase of vocations to holy married and family life and to the priesthood, consecrated and religious life, to continue building Your Kingdom on this side of heaven.

We pray for all the families in the Diocese of Buffalo, most especially for parents and caregivers, that they may open their hearts to You and embark on the beautiful lifelong journey of intentional discipleship.

We pray for the success of the Catholic Parenting Initiative and for our parish partners, that we remain open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to guide our conversations and our vision.

For whom and for what else shall we pray? (Pause)

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.

Latin:

Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae,
vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve.
ad te clamamus
exsules filii Evae,
ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
in hac lacrimarum valle.

Eia, ergo, advocata nostra, illos tuos
misericordes oculos ad nos converte;
et Iesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui,
nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.
O clemens, O pia, O dulcis Virgo Maria.

English:

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us;
and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
